The Bullring at WCIS Welcomes New Race Director Dave Johnston for 2025 Season
Perry, NY – The Bullring at Wyoming County International Speedway is proud to announce the appointment of Dave Johnston as the new Race Director for the 2025 racing season. With decades of experience in motorsports and a passion for competitive racing, Dave brings fresh energy, professionalism, and deep knowledge to the position.
Dave is no stranger to the racing world. From flagging local events to managing high-stakes race nights, his track record demonstrates a commitment to fairness, consistency, and creating a competitive but respectful environment for all teams and drivers.
“We are thrilled to have Dave step into this role,” said Jim Majchrzak Owner/Promotor. “His dedication to racing and respect within the community make him the perfect fit to lead our weekly programs and special events. We know he will uphold the standards that fans, drivers, and teams have come to expect at The Bullring.”
As Race Director, Dave will oversee race night operations, rule enforcement, lineup coordination, and safety procedures, ensuring every show runs efficiently and safely. His open-door policy and approachable leadership style aim to foster strong communication and a spirit of collaboration across all divisions.
This season also carries added meaning as we reflect on the legacy of Don Vogler, who served as Race Director for many years. Don’s passion, voice, and leadership helped shape the spirit of The Bullring, and his presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Dave steps into big shoes with great respect for Don’s contributions and the community he built.
