A Night of Heart and Horsepower: Vogler Family Shines in Don Vogler Memorial at The BullRing
PERRY, NY – The BullRing was alive with emotion, action, and community spirit Saturday night for Farm Days, presented by Reisdorf Bros., featuring the highly anticipated Don Vogler Memorial 51 for SST Super Stocks.
With the infield packed, the grandstands full, and memories flowing, fans honored longtime race director and supporter Don Vogler in the most fitting way possible—by racing hard and celebrating family. The night opened with hayrides, ice cream, and a truck, tractor, and car show that brought nostalgic charm and local pride to the midway.
When engines fired, the emotion didn’t stop.
SST Super Stocks – 51 Laps of Legacy
In a fitting tribute to the Vogler name, Derrick Vogler claimed a hard-fought victory in the SST Super Stock 51 lap Don Vogler Memorial Feature, crossing the line first in a competitive 16-car field. Joining him on the podium were Russ Bulger Jr. (2nd) and Chris Vogler (3rd)—Don’s own son and Grandson—creating a storybook finish for the Vogler family and every fan in the stands.
“We were 4 wide behind you, 4 WIDE at perry" - Chris Vogler said
The race featured side-by-side battles, emotional intensity, and cheers that shook the fence as the Vogler name dominated the top spots in a story of family, speed, and legacy.
SST Modifieds – Majchrzak Masters the Field
The SST Modifieds roared to life with 30 laps of high-speed intensity, and it was Dan Majchrzak who made a bold statement. Majchrzak lined up second on the grid and wasted no time charging to the front. Once he took the lead, he never looked back.
Despite pressure from veteran driver Alan Bookmiller, who kept the leader honest in the closing laps, Majchrzak stayed smooth and consistent, showcasing both speed and racecraft. Bill Mislin rounded out the podium after a clean and calculated drive through the field.
G-Dog Pro 4 – Hughes on Fire
In one of the largest fields of the night, Tommy Hughes took home the 20-lap G-Dog Pro 4 feature win, navigating traffic and pressure with poise. He was trailed by James Dunkleman III and Hunter McKay, who completed the podium in a fast and furious race that kept fans on their feet.
4-Cylinder Stock – Parrish Battles with the Pros
With a smaller car count, the 4-Cylinder Stock class joined forces with the G-Dog Pro 4 division for a combined 20-lap feature. Sharing the track with the larger field didn’t faze Lucas Parrish, who held his own and showed impressive speed among the Pro 4 ranks.
Parrish drove a clean, composed race and kept pace in traffic, ultimately taking top honors . Emily Garlock, the only other 4-cylinder competitor, ran steady laps and brought it home second in class.
While the Pro 4 drivers duked it out up front, the 4-cylinder duo quietly put in a solid performance, gaining valuable experience and proving they can handle the pressure of a mixed-class feature under the lights at The BullRing.
6-Cylinder Stock – Parthemer Doubles Up
John Parthemer swept the night in the 6-Cylinder Stock division, winning both his heat and the 15-lap feature. Bradley Shaw and Frank Parsons Jr. rounded out the top three in the tightly contested race.
More Than Racing
Farm Days wasn’t just about the checkered flags—it was about community. From the pre-race memorial lap featuring Don’s tractor, to a surprise $50 fan giveaway courtesy of the Vogler family, the night was a celebration of local roots and racing passion.
The BullRing would like to thank all the fans, families, drivers, and sponsors who made the event possible. With over 51 laps sponsored and thousands raised in Don’s memory, this event proved that racing is family, and The BullRing is home.
