Meet the Drivers Event Postponed; Race of Champions Opens 2026 Season at The BullRing
PERRY, NY —
Motorsports at Wyoming County International Speedway have been placed on hold once again as unfavorable weather continues to impact the facility.
Track officials remained hopeful that the forecast would improve, but persistent rain and cool temperatures have left conditions unsuitable for opening weekend activities.
As a result, the Meet the Drivers promotion originally scheduled for May 30 has been postponed and will now take place on Saturday, June 20, alongside the Military and First Responders Night / Kenny Hangauer Jr. Memorial event.
The good news for race fans is that Saturday, May 30, will now serve as the official Opening Day of the 2026 season, featuring the Race of Champions Series at The BullRing.
In addition, the SST Super Stocks will join the Race of Champions lineup for both upcoming ROC appearances at WCIS, giving fans even more excitement as local competitors take on top regional talent.
While Mother Nature has delayed the start of the season, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be an exciting year of short-track racing in Perry.
We appreciate the patience and support of our racers, teams, sponsors, and fans, and we look forward to seeing everyone next Saturday for a great night of racing at The BullRing.

See you next Saturday for a night at The BullRing!
