ROC Opens 2026 Season at The BullRing; Vogler, Robinson and Jankowiak Score Feature Wins

PERRY, NY (May 30, 2026) –
After weeks of weather delays, race fans finally got their first taste of Race of Champions action Saturday night as The BullRing in Perry, NY successfully kicked off its 2026 racing season. A strong crowd was on hand as the ROC Sportsman, SST Super Stocks, and ROC FOAR Score Dash Series took to the high-banked oval for an exciting evening of racing.

Vogler Charges from Ninth to Win SST Super Stock Feature
Geneva’s Derrick Vogler put on a dominant performance in the SST Super Stock feature, charging from the ninth starting position to capture the 30-lap main event victory. Vogler methodically worked his way through the field before taking command late in the race to secure the season-opening win.

His father, Chris Vogler, who won Heat Race No. 2, finished second after starting on the front row. Perry’s Dan Majchrzak completed the podium with an impressive drive from 12th to 3rd. Hamilton’s Tim Nawrocki crossed the line fourth, while Perry’s Frank Kline rounded out the top five.

Heat race victories went to Tim Nawrocki and Chris Vogler.

The ROC FOAR Score Dash Series saw Nick Robinson of Waverly, NY complete a perfect evening. Robinson won the heat race and then led all 25 laps of the feature to score the victory.

Gene Purvis finished second, while Lucas Parrish brought home third. Jody Krieb finished fourth, and Tommy Hughes was credited with a DNS.

Jankowiak Captures ROC Sportsman Season Opener
The night’s headline event saw Andy Jankowiak of Tonawanda, NY score the victory in the 40-lap ROC Sportsman feature. Starting second, Jankowiak raced to the front and held off a talented field to earn the win.

Lancaster’s Shawn Nye finished a close second, while Alan Bookmiller drove from 10th to 3rd. George Skora III and Kevin Timmerman completed the top five.

Perry’s own Dan Majchrzak recorded a heat race victory and finished ninth in the feature. Heat race winners also included Kevin Timmerman, and Chris Finocchiaro.
